On the flip side, a shirtless Big Sean commands another cover as 2011’s Rookie of the Year. The G.O.O.D. Music rapper released his debut album Finally Famous earlier this year, earning him the honorable recognition. Big Sean told MTV news that 2011 was one of the best years of his life. "It's definitely a breakthrough year for me," the Detroit native told MTV News. "I had my first songs on the radio; I got my first gold and platinum plaques. I've been really having a great time."

Big Sean also promised that his Finally Famous Over Everything mixtape will be completed near the top of the year. "It's just about done," he said. "Give it a couple more weeks just to shoot some videos, really get it prepared for the people and just really take over."

Rick Ross is set to release his fifth album God Forgives, I Don’t at the top of 2012 and he’s currently at work on his upcoming mixtape Rich Forever.

The Source's Dec/Jan issue is its 250th, a special collector's edition which hits newsstands on December 27th, 2011.
