Waka Flocka Says Wiz Khalifa Is All Hype

By Rob Markman

Hints of a Waka Flocka Flame, Wiz Khalifa tiff have been brewing for some time now. It was rumored that back in June the two had some words backstage at Hot 97’s Summer Jam concert where they both performed in East Rutherford, New Jersey. Khalifa has since downplayed any issues between the two rappers, but during a recent visit to DJ Kay Slay’s Shade 45 satellite radio show Flocka threw a shot at the Rolling Papers rapper.

“Yo Slay, how you feel about these rap n---as with all that hype, man? They ain’t got no swag... they hyped their way to the top,” Waka began, while the Drama King actually tried to downplay the question asking the rapper to not get him started.

After some back and forth banter, Flocka finally revealed who he was talking about when he blurted out, “Wiz, Wiz.”

Back in June, following his performance at Bonnaroo, Wiz denied that there was ever an issue between him and Flocka. "Yeah, nothing happened backstage," Khalifa said then of the alleged Summer Jam incident. "It's always something; making up some rumor about something happening with me backstage during somebody's set, but nothing happened. Me and Waka are cool. That's just people trying to promote negativity."

Flocka’s recent remarks however don’t seem to echo the same sentiment. So what changed between the two rap stars over the last six months? Only time will tell.
