On December 8, Nicki Minaj celebrates her 29th birthday and there’s no doubt that Young Money's first lady has had quite a year. In 2011 she picked up a Grammy nomination, saw herself immortalized as a Barbie doll and announced the release of her sophomore album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. To celebrate her Minajesty’s birthday, we’ve assembled a few video clips of her accomplishments from the past year, along with some classic Nicki moments.

Nicki joined Britney Spears on tour this year, and she was surprised to find that Britney's fans were able to vibe with her completely. "I didn't really expect them to know all of the records, but i guess it transcends all genres of music at this point," she said.

Complete with boyish clothes and a blonde dreadlocked wig, the self-proclaimed Barbie effortlessly imitates her mentor’s slow Southern drawl. Being the chameleon that she is, the rapstress manages to keep a straight face during the duration of this hilarious interview.

Speaking of her ability to play multiple characters, the Harajuku princess told MTV News at the MTV Movies Awards that she would like to test out her acting chops by working on some movies. Her first choices for male co-stars? Will Smith and Ashton Kutcher interestingly enough.

MTV News caught up with Nicki at the Billboard's Women in Music event where she broke down the first single from her second album set to drop Valentine’s Day of next year. The rap starlet described the back story behind the song and described it as the “trailer for the next album. ” "When I say it's a teaser, it's like a trailer to the movie, it's like setting the stage and I just wanted to touch the surface. It's the wackest thing on Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.”
