Grandmaster Flash & The Furious Five made waves in hip-hop with the release of their 1982 single “The Message” and in 2012 the classic song will finally be inducted into the Grammy Hall Of Fame. To commemorate the historic moment, Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel and Scorpio performed their hit in Los Angeles on Wednesday night (November 30), as part of the Grammy Nominations Concert. Special guests Common, Lupe Fiasco and LL Cool joined them to deliver the song.
Fans took to Twitter following the show to share their thoughts on the performances and “The Message” seemed to be a unanimous favorite.
