Meek Mill Drops 'I'ma Boss (Remix)' W/ Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, T.I., Swizz Beatz

Maybach Music Group's foot soldier Meek Mill already had a smash on his hands with the Self Made Vol. 1 single "I'ma Boss," produced by Roc Nation signee Jahlil Beats, featuring Rick Ross. After blazing radio stations all summer long, Meek Mill gives the hit some new life, adding T.I., Rick Ross, Lil Wayne, Birdman, Swizz Beatz and DJ Khaled on the heavy-hitting remix.

After a spirited intro from DJ Khaled the “kang” of the south, T.I., launches into an aggressive verse, continuing his streak of high profile features since his release from prison earlier this year. Swizz Beatz adds his flair to the hook, then Meek Mill follows up with his verse, which remains in the same confident lane as his bars on the original. However, it was Ricky Rozay’s timely opening verse that was a scene-stealer on the remix.

“Had a couple seizures, call it minor setbacks/Everybody praying for me, I respect that/Woke up in the hospital, where my checks at?/Then I put 8 chains where my neck’s at/” rapped a rejuvenated Rick Ross, showing no signs of ring rust after his major health scare last month.

The YMCMB boys anchor the end of the track with Lil Wayne and Birdman delivering the 1-2 knockout punch at the close of the remix. Weezy employs his usual freewheeling style coupled with loads of cocky punch lines whereas Birdman rightfully plays the rear and even manages to give a nod to Wayne’s current success--all while making certain to shout out Cash Money Records.
