Diddy is having the best birthday ever. Well, actually, we can’t say that for sure, but according to his tweets the Bad Boy mogul is soaking up all of the well-wishes from his adoring public. “Yall are the best!!! :) I feel like I'm having a Birthday Party with 4 million (4,000,000) of my closest friends!” he wrote on Twitter early Friday morning (November 4).” I love you guys Thank you.” It’s almost certain that Diddy will host an exclusive shindig to celebrate, but the question is—will he try to top his 40th birthday celebration?
There’s no word yet on what the Yonkers native has in store but if history has taught us anything, a party of blowout proportions should be expected. For his 40th birthday, Diddy reportedly dropped a cool $3 million on a bash for 500 special guests—that included Jay-Z, U2 front man Bono, Denzel Washington and Kim Kardashian—at New York City’s Plaza hotel. Diddy is well-known for his themed parties (such as his infamous Hamptons White Parties) and his 2009 bash was inspired by the Garden of Eden, complete with a performance by Al Green.
Since he launched Bad Boy Records back in 1993, skyrocketing the careers of artists like the Notorious B.I.G. and Lil Kim, Diddy has became an entity onto himself. Earlier this year he signed Ohio rapper Machine Gun Kelly to the label, but business ventures like his stake in Ciroc vodka have landed him consecutive appearances on Forbes' Hip-Hop Cash Kings list. The magazine currently predicts that Diddy will be the first hip-hop billionaire. Cheers to that.
Happy Birthday, Diddy!
