After setting up shop in Birmingham, AL for two weeks during stage rehearsals, Jay-Z and Kanye West–now collectively known as The Throne–are headed to Atlanta, where they’ll kick off the fall leg of their highly anticipated Watch The Throne tour. The inaugural show is on Friday night (October 28) in the city’s Phillips Arena.
The much-hyped tour is in support of Jay-Z and Kanye West’s platinum-selling album Watch The Throne and they’ll remain in town long enough to perform another show on Saturday night (October 29). The Birmingham News reports that Yeezy and Hov will hit the road on Wednesday night (October 26) after 200 workers assist with packing for the trek. Tour dates will take the duo as far as Canada in late November, before wrapping up in December.
According to Phillips Arena manager Bobby Breedlove, concertgoers will likely be thrilled by the production. “It's a very large production, with 22 trucks," Breedlove told The Birmingham News. "There were a lot of logistical things to pull together. There are a lot of visual and lighting elements. It will be a very impressive show.”
For fans that weren’t lucky enough to grab a ticket to the show, entertainment platform and tour co-sponsor VOYR will be broadcasting footage of the in a live stream on their website Friday night.
