Southern rap mainstay and rowdy party starter Waka Flocka Flame found himself on the receiving end of some unexpected blows during what should have been considered by most to be an event free of violence.
Last Thursday (September 29) evening at a charity bowling event, gossip site TMZ reported and debuted reader donated footage of Waka Flocka Flame and his entourage in the middle of a fracas with a former protégé who slugged the rapper – which was reportedly over Waka catching the blow behind owed funds to the unnamed assailant. As expected, a melee broke out as a result of the unprovoked punch which led to Waka chasing the puncher down and his crew jumping in to nab and rain down blows on the man.
Waka’s media rep said that the unfortunate exchange of fisticuffs shouldn’t mar the wholesome intention of the event, saying the punch was akin to the rapper being “ambushed” and declaring that Waka’s retaliation was nothing more than the 25-year-old entertainer defending himself. According to the rep, funds raised at the event were earmarked for Waka’s community efforts.
Police were called to the bowling alley although no charges were filed on either side.
