From Odd Future rascal Tyler, the Creator to Philly duo Chiddy Bang, Adele is quickly becoming your favorite rapper's favorite singer. In a recent interview with PunchBowl TV, Big Sean got all gushy about the British belter ... but it's not just her music he's feeling.
"I really want to work with Adele, I think she's, like, great," Louis Vuitton Sean says in the clip. "She never compromises her sound for anything. She reminds me of Motown soul music, and its straight number-one, her voice is unmatched," the Motor City native adds. "She makes the type of music people sample, and that's the best music ever."
For the uninitiated who didn't catch her powerhouse VMA performance of "Someone Like You" last weekend, ginger-tressed Adele's sophomore project, 21 -- named for the age she was when she recorded it and the follow-up to '09's similarly titled 19 -- has topped the Billboard albums chart something like five-zillion times since it dropped this year (OK, actually, it's peaked a dozen times, but you get what I mean) powered by just one single.
In a nutshell, she sounds ... soulful, on a gut-wrenching collection of songs like "Rolling in the Deep," that find her going in, broken-dishes, slash-your-tires style, on an ex-BF. All of that doesn't seem to have turned off the Detroit player, though. The Finally Famous MC, who's working on his next tape before settling in the booth for his next full-length, told the site he's head over Jordans for the songstress.
"I love Adele, I love her so much," he gushed. "I wish I could just meet her. I know she's my age too. I would even date her, man. She's like so great to me."
