It may be officially time to retire the "Tunechi's Home" campaign. Nearly six months since his release from Rikers Island after serving a one year sentence on weapons charges Lil Wayne has easily managed to retain his spot as one of Hip-Hop's elite MCs. To show and prove, the New Orleans native has snagged his third cover story in that short span of time with his latest at publication XXL magazine.
In the upcoming issue Wayne tells journalist Shaheem Reid about his upcoming Carter IV album and why he's just an interesting cat whether the mic is or or off.
“What is good about me is that I’m an interesting muthaf--ka. I’m Dwayne Michael Carter period! Whether I’m a rapper or not, I’m interesting. And that’s what my album’s gonna be about: me and how interesting I am.”
The Lil Wayne XXL edition hits stands July 12.
