To acknowledge the annual Puerto Rican Day parade today in New York City, rapper Diego Cash is celebrating his heritage in the new video "Return of The Rican" featuring Fat Joe. Earlier today Diego reached out to RapFix to speak on the clip and the his big day.
"We wanted to do an anthem for all the Puerto Ricans to ride to and take pride in so we recruited Fat Joe and Joell Ortiz for the track" Diego told MTV. "The video version only has Joe due to scheduling conflicts but you can also hear the full version on my site thisisdiegocash.com. "
Looking forward to today's event, the clip for "Return of The Rican" was actually shot last year according to Cash.
"We shot the video last year during the parade it was an amazing experience. Me and Joe performed the whole ride and the people knocked the rails down and rushed the float at the end it was like a concert. Amazing feeling. Salute to all my Boriquas."
Cash is just one of a few acts signed to NBA ball player Carmelo Anthony's Krossover Entertainment. Last year, Melo spoke to Mixtape Daily about Diego Ca$h. “We saw someone that was raw talent that a lot of people were overlooking," Anthony told Mixtape Daily. "He wasn't getting the respect that he deserved, so I jumped in there. I just started Krossover Entertainment, the music side of things. He was the first artist signed to Krossover.”
