Earlier this evening, one-time A Tribe Called Quest MC Consequence sat down on the infamous couch in the 1515 offices and let go some pretty entertaining bombshells aimed at targets mentor Q-Tip and one time friend Kanye West. According to Cons, he has a bone to pick with the executive producers of his debut album on G.O.O.D. Music that never saw the light of day.
Midway through his extensive chat with Sway, Q-Tip caught wind of his blood cousin's harsh words and decided to take his grievances out on Twitter.
"N---as be watching too much wrestling" Q-Tip said referring to Consequence.
"Poor sway.. He's looking like damn!!! Where is the road map" Tip continued. "He doesn't even know what the hell he's talking abt. Now he's talking abt my biz? He DOESN'T know what he's talking abt" Tip said.
At one point during his candid interview Consequence pointed out that he took issue with Tip pointing out Tribes interview when his cousin sat on the very same couch and pulled out a xeroxed copy of an email from director Michael Rappaport. According to Cons, Tip is too big of a star to walk around referring to a piece of paper as critical documentation.
Following the interview, the Abstract one expressed sympathy with host Sway for sitting through the emotion-filled interview.
"@RealSway I'm sorry u had to deal with that" Tip concluded.
Consequence broke onto the rap scene in 1996, appearing on a number of tracks with the iconic Queens rap group A Tribe Called Quest on their Beats, Rhymes and Life LP. From there, Cons continued to make his mark on the mixtape scene before linking up with Kanye West a few years later. Once 'Ye climbed up the rap ranks and developed his own label (G.O.O.D. Music), Consequence was added to the roster, as were other notable acts like Kid Cudi, Big Sean and Pusha T.
