When you’re a famous male rapper, it must be tough to have friends of the opposite sex without everyone assuming you’re in a relationship with them.
During a stop on his wildly successful “I Am Still Music” tour, Lil Wayne took time backstage to address swirling rumors that he is dating his longtime personal stylist Marissa Torres. The rumors began to kick around after the Young Money captain and company made a tour stop in Atlanta this past Saturday (April 9) and the gossip blogs took fire with reports of Wayne doting on an older woman who never let her eyes leave Wayne.
The so-called scandal also took wings because of the explosive potential of two of Weezy’s exes being in attendance at the Philips Arena during the Saturday show. Reports say that while Wayne’s ex-wife Toya didn’t seem bothered by Wayne showing love to his stylist, Sarah Vivian, who is the mother of his 2-year old Dwayne, was said to be upset about the attention he gave to Torres.
Lil Tunechi hopped on camera for DJ Scoob Doo’s "Street Talk DVD" series to not only decry all the talk of he and Torres dating, but also offer fans a glimpse of the high octane performance he’s given to the fans while on tour.
“Everybody out there owe somebody a real big apology. This Marissa right here, this is my stylist, " said a shirtless Wayne preparing for his set last night in Indiana. With his arm around Ms. Torres, Wayne continued while pointing to his clothes for the performance, “See, this is the reason I’m flyer than all you n---as, you understand? This is my stylist, she’s been my stylist for years.”
Wayne looked playfully agitated as he took umbrage with the blogs referring to his stylist as a cougar. “There’s a rumor out right now saying this is my girl ‘cause I had my arm around her. My arm is around her right now, my arm is always around her, this is my dude. This is my homie right here. And all them little things you saying that [she’s] a cougar and all that, we not with that over there.”
Forever the jokester, Lil Wayne made sure to shout out the woman of his dreams of late, Notre Dame Women’s basketball player Skylar Diggins, complete with wearing Diggins’ jersey while he took the stage at Indiana University’s Assembly Hall last night. Footage of the concert showed the New Orleans native performing a high energy rendition of his hit song “Six Foot Seven Foot” for a delighted Indiana crowd.
Shout out to the homey DJ Scoob Doo with the exclusive.
