Rick Ross and his Maybach Music Group team continue to roll on as the mogul prepares to unleash his brand new roster of artists onto the public next month with a fresh compilation album. MTV News caught up with the Bawse in Vegas while he and his MMG team prepped for a Mob inspired photo shoot for the upcoming release Maybach Music Group Presents: Self Made Vol. 1.
Fresh on the heels of releasing a number of songs including “Pac Man,” 'Tupac Back" and "600 Benz" featuring Yonkers lyrical demon Jadakiss with the MMG CEO on the hook to the Web this week, Rick Ross explained to MTV News the impetus behind shooting the album cover in the City of Sin. “We live in Vegas in the middle of the desert at the Self Made photo shoot, “said a shaded Rick Ross between breaks in shooting. “And it’s looking incredible, man. One of the biggest shoots I’ve been a part of, man. “
Ross went on to add, “[We] just paint that picture where everybody being hustlers in their own right, standing on their own two feet being self-made. I believe that’s what Vegas was built on so it makes a lot of sense. I’m excited. It’s a lot of good collaborations.”
Present at the shoot were the roster's MC's: DC area rhymer Wale, Philly export Meek Mills along with the aforementioned Pill alongside their new boss. The compilation album is slated for a May 24 release.
