In the icy homeland of mythic figures Thor and Odin, two god-like trailblazers of hip hop joined forces yesterday (March 29) in Oslo, Norway.
While on the final date of his solo European tour, Queens native Nas was seen cooling out with Wu-tang Clan swordsman Raekwon backstage at the Sentrum Scene venue. The pair reconnected on Rae’s latest long player on the track “Rich and Black” after first connecting on Raekwon’s classic debut album Only Built For Cuban Linx and the song “Verbal Intercourse.”
DJ Green Lantern tweeted a photo in the wee hours of the morning of the pair enjoying the spoils of being virtual rap royalty. The always fashionably dipped Raekwon sported a red and white pullover cap with matching scarf, a black jacket and keeping it low key on the jewels with just a right hand pinky ring and left wrist watch.
Nas rocked the dookie gold rope made popular in the days of b-boys past but made it look fresh. Nasty Nas completed the top half of his outfit with a grey hoodie, black skullcap while hiding his eyes behind some stylish sunglasses. Both were seen enjoying some expensive bubbly.
Nas and Distant Relative partner Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley embarked on a world tour originating in early February in Hawaii with Nas doing a short seven city solo stint across Norway and Finland. The Distant Relatives European tour resumes this coming Friday (April 1) in Glasgow with the pair finally wrapping up the last leg of trip on April 14 in Portugal.
