Snoop Dogg Remembers Nate Dogg With New Tattoo

As a cloud of sadness hangs over Long Beach, California this morning while a west coast legend is laid to rest, another iconic figure born and raised in the LBC paid his respects to his fallen friend in a most respectful and artistic fashion.

MTV News was on hand for the memorial and viewing services for G-Funk singer Nathaniel “Nate Dogg” Hale and we were able to obtain a few photos and family comments from the event. However, in the wee hours of the morning Snoop Dogg tweeted a much more relevant photo of a tattoo on his left forearm of Nate Dogg with the caption “All Doggs Go To Heaven” underneath.

The image was an exact depiction of the always quietly striking and serious stare from Nate Dogg and a somber reminder of the loss of one of music’s purest and most original voices. The tattoo was drawn by the famous ink artist Mister Cartoons, who also tweeted a photo of the artwork showing a grinning and proud Snoop draped in Laker yellow.

Just over an hour ago, Snoop Dogg tweeted “Sad day” from his Twitter account, no doubt speaking upon the current funeral services taking place at the Queen Mary Dome in Long Beach currently.

Twitter has also been ablaze with fans offering condolences and doing their best to memorialize Nate Dogg, who’s silky smooth tenor helped shape and define the west coast sound and became one of the most sought after singers in hip hop history.

Rest In Peace, Nate Dogg. Your voice will live on forever.
