New Shady Records signees Slaughterhouse may be getting quite the boost from their new boss Eminem. One member of Slaughterhouse even boldly stated that Slim Shady will help shape the course of their major label debut in an executive role.
Detroit rhyme slinger Royce Da 5’9, who was once in the group Bad Meets Evil with Em in their early days, hinted that the Detroit Bad Boy will assume an executive producer role for their upcoming and currently untitled album. “He hasn't used these exact words, but I'll go ahead and jump out the window and say it. I think he'll be the executive producer," Royce shared. "He's very good at taking a record to a whole different level after we do what we do with it.”
The Slaughterhouse crew consists of powerhouse rappers New Jersey’s Joe Budden, Brooklyn’s Joell Ortiz and west coast veteran Crooked I along with Royce. The group already has one project as a team, but they aim to craft their Shady Records release in a more organic fashion. “He [Em] doesn't want us to do a lot of e-mailing," Royce revealed. “We've had a lot of problems with hacks and leaks. So he wants us to be in one central location of the recording.”
All members of the prolific Slaughterhouse squad are continually working on solo projects as well, with Royce releasing his fifth studio album Success Is Certain this coming April.
Crooked I, Joell Ortiz and Joe Budden have several mixtape projects released between them along with official solo projects.
