Last week’s untimely passing of G-funk hook singer Nathaniel “Nate Dogg” Hale continues to remain in the forefront in minds of Nate Dogg’s many fans and friends, including one of his most well-known collaborators.
West Coast icon Snopp Dogg has been very vocal in his support and love for his former high school friend and 213 homeboy. This past Saturday (March 19), Snoop and the rest of the D.P.G.C. – Kurupt, Daz Dillinger and Warren G – performed a moving tribute in honor of Hale during the SXSW music festival in Austin, Texas. Collections were taken at the “Respect The West” showcase at Venue 222 for the Nate Dogg Memorial Fund.
Today, Snoop announced via his Twitter account that a Paypal donation page is now available via his official website. Urging his Twitter followers to retweet the link to the page, the Doggfather’s sincere pleas were coupled with a sense of urgency. ”[W]e goin hard 4 #natedogg today. we tryn 2 make sure his family's straight. 100% of donations go 2 his fam. http://t.co/67vE8Dm.
