Although Chris Brown has been enduring quite the media blitz today (March 22) after his reported outburst at the Good Morning America studios this morning, the bright blond coiffed singer released a new video via MTV's "Seven" show today for "Beautiful People," the third single from his fourth studio album F.A.M.E. to much fanfare.
The Benny Benassi track is primed for the big arenas and clubs although the video showcases a lighter side to Chris Brown. The video begins with Breezy and his dance crew The Rejectz darting about on self propelled scooters before switching to various shots of Brown showing off his new song to a bevy of his famous friends including Bow Wow, The Game, Pharrell Williams, Swizz Beats, T-Pain and others.
Fan reaction to the video has been mostly positive with some opinions most certainly swayed in the wake of Breezy's latest snafu. Celeb blog Concrete Loop had a spate of comments that were mostly favorable. "I love it… can’t really deny his talent or charisma. Good job," posted one commenter. "Get it T-pain Get it !!! Nice video Chris #teambrezzy," added another visitor.
Twitter exploded with comments once the video dropped but there were several divided lines over the video's originality and purpose. "It's not original. Simple, but good. I kind of like how he's blending genres and crossing over, but somewhere it isn't working.," tweeted @AshleyNotOlsen. "[Y]o beautiful people by Chris Brown & Benny Bennassi really tough , this s--t kinda tough a lil bit," tweeted an approving @Casanova_Jay.
Chris Brown was slated to appear on MTV tonight during the premiere of his new video but in light of today's incident and the media buzz surrounding it, Brown and his team canceled the visit.
