Looks like Ludacris' acting ambitions will go beyond his Theater of the Mind.
The rapper turned actor, most notably known acting-wise for his silver screen debut in the film "2 Fast 2 Furious", tweeted a photo today of himself on set with actress Hillary Swank. Luda, who goes by his government name Chris Bridges for his film roles, is spotted wearing what appears to be a police officer's uniform. The two are smiling donning winter attire. No word yet on the title of the project, as Ludacris' IMDB page references only two upcoming films - the hockey flick Breakaway and yet another "Fast & the Furious" sequel "Fast Five" where he resumes his role as Tej.
Ludacris has been taking bit roles for a while now, most recently in the film No Strings Attached with Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman. While the roles are seemingly minor, they do place the rapper in a position for mainstream acting stardom, a la LL Cool J and Will Smith.
While developing his budding acting career, Luda still is maintaining his rap track record with Ludaversal coming "sooner than you think" per his label.
In other related Luda news, the rapper has teamed up with Magnum condoms for a special contest "Magnum Live Large Project" to find the best freestyle rapper in the country for the second straight year.
“Living Large is really the only way to live,” said Ludacris about the Magnum Live Large Project. “That’s why I’m a part of this project for the second year. I’m a huge supporter of the product, I live the life, and I love how Magnum is giving other people the chance to shine and represent the gold standard.”
