Dipset member Jim Jones has never been one to sit idly by and resting on his past fame. The Harlem native is looking to light up the streets again with his aggressive new song and video, “Baggage Claim” – a track that appeared on DJ Kay Slay’s recent Redemption mixtape and reported to be featured on Jimmy’s upcoming studio album CAPO.
This latest drop from the Capo starts off with featured artist Sen City sending Jimmy a tweet to meet at an airport baggage claim. Once the beat kicks in, Sen drops the melodic hook amidst visuals of the pair meeting up at an airport and Jimmy comes out the gate smoking. “And I’m just having these New York visions/Hustle in the cold with the hawk hittin’/Tryin’ to pitch, my hands all frostbitten/Look at this, now my hand now frostbitten,” raps an energized Jim Jones. The shots move from Jimmy rapping in a first class airplane seat before shifting to the Byrd Gang leader boarding an elevator and riding upwards to a posh residence.
Not exactly safe for the kids or the workplace, several shots show Jimmy at a bodega tossing up drinks with his crew and there is a scantily clad beauty in an outfit that reveals her backside for the camera in some quick shots with Sen City. The video ends with Capo counting heavy stacks of cash and celebrating further with his crew before meeting up with Sen at the airport.
Jimmy’s fifth studio CAPO drops on April 5 and confirmed features are Raekwon, Snoop Dogg and Dipset members Juelz Santana, Cam’ron and newcomer Vado.
