Odd Future Performs On ‘Fallon’ And Tyler The Creator Signs a Deal

By Erika Ramirez

Odd Future, full name Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All (OFWGK), has been making notable moves since they’re first New York show on November 5th. Artists such as Mos Def, Das Racist, Skyzoo made an appearance at the sold out concert at Webster Hall.

The 10-man Los Angeles group recently performed on "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon." Backed up by The Roots, ringleader Tyler, the Creator and Hodgy Beats, of Odd Future, performed their track, “Sandwitches.”

On Monday, (February 14th), Tyler, the Creator signed a deal with XL Recordings. Tyler signed on the dotted line a few days before he released a black and white video for, “Yonkers” (written, produced and directed by Tyler, himself). “Yonkers” is the first single from Tyler’s sophomore album, Goblin (April 2011). In the video for “Yonkers,” Tyler “eats” a cockroach on the 0:49 mark, then regurgitates it six seconds later. Freaky but common acts from the hip-hop collective.

Tyler, the Creator is not one to hold back. Last month (January 26th), Tyler expressed his thoughts on Wiz Khalifa’s album title, Rolling Papers.

“@RealWizKhalifa N---a wtf, Domo already had that sh--. Ask ya boy Spitta and f---ing Dza, that's no f---ing swag," Tyler the Creator tweeted. “"Everyone on my friends list, tell that n---a Wiz Khalifa to give @damiergenesis his f---ing album title back. Wolf Gang."
