There's no doubt about it, Rick Ross is the biggest boss and his endless catalog of hits make it hard to dispute that fact. The Miami-Dade county rap chief held court at Los Angeles' Club Exchange last night along with rap's superwoman Nicki Minaj to put the official stamp of approval on this weekends NBA 2011 All-Star weekend showdown.
Rozay and the Maybach Music team swarmed a VIP area in the downtown LA trendy hot spot where Biz Markie was holding court on the 1's and 2's for the majority of the night. Soon after the B-I-Z made his entrance the boss soon followed, enlightening fans with an impromptu performance showing off his treasure trove of hit records.
Ross ran through records such as "B.M.F.," "9 Piece," "MC Hammer," the mainstream friendly track "Aston Martin Music" and much more as the audience danced and sang along to his tunes.
Before leaving the stage, Ross and the Maybach mafia including Masspike Miles, newcomer Meek Mills and manager Gucci Pucci threw countless wads of cash in the air while sipping from his signature Moet Rose champagne. Ross has much to celebrate. Earlier today the hefty MC announced Warner Bros was the winner of his bidding war to release his stable of artists through his Maybach Music imprint.
Recently Ross' latest signee Meek Mills Spoke on his deal with Rick Ross. "I'm doing my thing in my area, Wale doing his thing in his area, Rick Ross got the whole United States in a frenzy, why not team up?" Meek told MTV News. "It's like the Miami Heat, the Big Three. Once they get they things together…they going to be unstoppable. At the end of the day we going to be unstoppable cause we coming to take a lot of rappers out the game man. Coming to spit straight fire."
