“Jimmy iovine and dre mad at me cause I'm doing sleek by 50,” tweeted the Queens rapper born Curtis Jackson.
After splitting with Interscope Records last year to sign a distribution deal with EMI Records, 50 Cent has remained supportive and respectful of Iovine and Dre. Recently as last month, Fif was showed support of Dre’s upcoming final studio album Detox in an interview with MTV News.
"When you got a producer that has that kind of production track record, you even have to credit both Eminem's success and my success to Dr. Dre as a producer, “ shared 50. “My first single off of Get Rich or Die Tryin' — people constantly tell me it was a classic — was produced by Dr. Dre, 'In Da Club.'”
Always the jokester, 50 hinted at a diss record towards Dre and Iovine, claiming that he’s disappointed his former business associates are upset at his recent moves.
“Would you faint if I told you I just wrote a verse about jimmy and dre. Oh my god this is hard. This sh-- gonna kill,” 50 tweeted. “I’m a little hurt jimmy and dre feel like that but f**k it. I’m focused I got a surprise for everybody this go round,” added 50 via Twitter.
