Kanye West Gives Update On Joint Album With Jay-Z

By Rahman Dukes

Looks like producer Kanye West is wasting no time moving on to his next musical masterpiece. Over the weekend the Louis Vuitton Don gave an update on his joint album with big brother Jay-Z, Watch The Throne.

Watch the Throne coming in one week," declared Kanye West after performing with Jay-Z for the grand opening of Marquee nightclub at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas on New Years Eve. Kanye’s latest revelation surrounding the project may have sounded a bit optimistic but it's a safe bet to excite fans of both rappers.

Late last year Hov said the recording process for the album has been a joy to watch.

“This is another level of that recording," Hov told Sway. "Because Kanye, I've seen him — really he's like a brother to me — I've seen him from the beginning to where he is now. And to see him as a producer and to see how he's growing as a producer and as an artist, for me, on another level, it's enjoyable.

According to Kanye a few songs from his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy gave fans a taste of what’s to come from Watch The Throne.

"We had done five [songs] so far, but then a few of them kind of were out there, and I put them on my album" said Kanye. "Sorry, Jay. But we got some more, and we're going to the South of France at the end of the month to just record new ideas. But we'll probably be done with the album in a day."
