Nicki Minaj and her Young Money crew may have taken over BET's 106 & Park New Years Eve Bash last night as part of a pre-taped recording but rap's favorite female MC took her talents to South Beach for a private New Year's soiree with family and friends.
Minaj, close friend SB and her entourage held court at Club Mansion with the promptly titled "Pink Everything Belevedere Vodka" themed party. R&B heartthrob Jamie Foxx celebrated the New Year and his new album at LIV while Trey Songz, music executive Kevin Liles and dozens of scantily clad women swayed back and forth to the tunes of the crooner well pas the ball drop.
Last night Minaj and hip hop's most wanted crew, Young Money, entertained an audience of young fans who sent shockwaves through the building after surprise appearance from Lil Wayne at the 106 & Park New Years Eve Bash. Weezy showed up to support Drake for their joint record "Miss Me" followed by an encore performance of his latest hit "6" 7" " featuring Cory Gunz. Minaj graced the stage with her next single "Moment 4 Life" with the songs collaborator and video co-star Drake. According to reports the video will see the two's alleged romance turn it up a notch when they kiss each other during a scene in the upcoming video. The Young Money New Years Eve bash marks the label's first performance together since Lil Wayne has been released from prison.
Jamie Foxx had much to celebrate last night after his new album Best Night Of My Life scored well on the Soundscan charts coming in at number 6 with 144,000 albums sold in it's first week. The album was the highest debut beating out releases from Keyshia Cole, Keri Hilson, Ghostface Killah, and David Banner.
