Pop group La Roux and two rappers from Chicago? The combination's not as far-fetched as you might think.

Gritty Chicago rap duo Mooney and Count aka the L.E.P Bogus Boys — fresh from having their DJ Drama-hosted mixtape Don’t Feed The Killaz, Vol 3 placed on the MTV News Mixtape Daily Year-End Awards' Top 10 Mixtapes of 2010 list — recently talked about working with buzzing electro-pop twosome La Roux on their fresh track and video "Goin’ In For The Kill."

"Well first shout out to Mega[man] who actually produced the record for us," Mooney said. "We was, always you know, a fan of La Roux, you know, we heard it. He sent it over … soon as we heard it, instantly bam, we came up with some verses for it."

Mooney also shared their visual creative process and how Hollywood films played a part in influencing the song's intense bank robbing theme.

"How we like to do our videos … we like to combine movies into each other," the raspy-voiced Mooney shared. "So we took a little bit of Set It Off … and the movie Heat and we wanted to put it together. It was good how it turned out though … it was most definitely a success for us."

Count shared his delight of the behind-the-scenes action of the video as well.

"It was action-packed, you know what I’m sayin? I ain’t gonna lie. I wanted to test my acting out … It was entertaining," Count said. "It was fun to do. We had the blank guns, we had everybody … they played they part. We had old people layin’ on the ground."

A chuckling Mooney chimed in on the bank heist fantasy romp by saying, "It was something we wanted to do without getting arrested!"

L.E.P Bogus Boys' Don't Feed Da Killaz: Vol. 3 made the MTV News Mixtape Daily Year-End Awards, winning a slot on the top 10 mixtapes of 2010. Do you agree? Do you disagree? Did we miss anything?
