While we were live blogging Drake's Light Dreams & Nightmares concert at New York's Radio City Music hall last night (September 29), Soulja Boy and 50 Cent were going in on Funk Flex's Hot 97 radio show. The two have been working together and released their collaborative record "Mean Mug" on September 23.
Turns out Soulja's in the big apple recording and grabbing up major artists as he pens more records. Not only did the thin MC catch up with Fif, he also took some time to edit a film with Kanye West. Soulja addressed what we're assuming is the pair's upcoming collaboration on air.
"Everybody in New York City done heard that new me and 50 "Mean Mug" that's brand new," said Soulja Boy. "While I been out here in New York, I actually hooked up with another big artist in hip-hop and I think this collaboration gone shock the people too. They gone like this one."
Flex tried to get a bit more juice but Crank Dat wasn't budging.
"I'ma let the song speak for itself when it drops," said Soulja."They gone be shocked, jaws dropped all over NY."
Later in the interview 50 Cent—who was sitting beside the youngster apparently getting his haircut... not in a barbershop... —chimed in and shared some journo rap news. You know Boo Boo can't keep a secret.
"We're getting ready to shoot the cover of XXL magazine," said Fif. "Soulja got the cover and I'm just getting in the background. I just felt like popping in, so i said 'I'ma come on in there, I'ma poke my head in."
The G-Unit General also spoke on LLoyd Bank' new song with... well, everyone including Eminem.
"Yeah, he's got a joint with Kanye, Swizz Beatz, Ryan Leslie and one of Kanye's new artists from GOOD Music," added Fif.
Not sure exactly who the GOOD person is, but we imagine that Pusha would be the best candidate since his LP is coming up and he gave a dope performance during the VMAs.
