Well, at this point, it’s closer to 36 hours. At 7:30 p.m. ET on September 5, 50 Cent made this announcement on Twitter: “Tomorrow 12:00 pm sharp I return to Twitter. No one’s safe until then stay sucker free.” The next day, a minute later than he promised, 50 returned to wreak havoc in Twitterville. And wreak havoc he did, as Curtis began an @ reply frenzy with some notable celebs. He then ended it with an announcement that he wouldn’t be returning until September 13. The fact is, 50 Cent is returning to Twitter and wants people to stay tuned. Perhaps he’s found his new soapbox.
Ever since 50 Cent signed up for Twitter, people have been involved like he’s making more videos prank-calling Shyne. While Kanye had a good run in getting the people’s attention during 50’s absence (apologies to Taylor Swift and all that), 50 returned with a vengeance. We’ve documented some of 50’s noteworthy tweets. Hit the jump to check out the Gospel According to Fif and see a video of the G-Unit member talking about Twitter.
“I talk to Puffy he said, ‘n—a da sh– you be doing is bad for business we can make a lot of money together.’ So that’s the last Puffy hit lol.”
This tweet came as a follow-up to 50’s return tweet from the previous day: “I’m back motherf—ers! So I’ma bust a shot to let u know sh– is real. This that dirty money Pow!” After speaking to 50 himself, he confirmed there’s no bad blood between him and Puff.
So I saw Jay-Z backstage at the show so I say, ‘What’s up n—a we gone kill each other or what?’ He like, ‘And f— up the money? I aint wit it’ lol.”
50 may want a duel, but clearly Hov has some priorities. Here’s what 50 Cent told us regarding this situation: “We got a chance to kick it for a minute,” 50 said. “I know people were interested in what that conversation was like. But they can ask Jay-Z. I take people’s actions as if it’s genuinely how they feel. I can only use what I saw you do as if that’s what you meant. I can’t understand what your motivation was prior to that.” A little cryptic, don’t you think?
“I played Em some new music. He was like u gone kill them with that but he kept making me play a few over and over so I’m only keeping those.”
It’s interesting to see how 50 shrugs off Puffy’s discretion but takes Em’s very seriously. Never bite the hand that feeds you.
On Perez Hilton:
“Perez Hilton called me douchebag so I had my homie shoot up a gay wedding. Wasn’t his but still made me feel better.”
This tweet had the gay community and those who support gay rights (whom 50 referred to as “The Pink Suit Mafia”) in an uproar. Perez Hilton obviously @ replied Curtis over this, and 50’s parting words to Perez were, “Stop being so sensitive it’s a joke. You’re acting like a big baby. Have a nice day. And my next song will make your sweet ass dance lol chill.”
On Tiger Woods:
“Tiger Woods 750,000,000 dollar divorce settlement – and they say love don’t cost a thing damn. Then p—y is too expensive.”
Clearly if Tiger Woods handled his wife the way 50 Cent handled his ex-girlfriend Vivica A. Fox, they would be on good enough terms for her to star in a music video the way Vivica did in “Do You Think About Me” (thankfully, Tiger Woods doesn’t rap).
On Tony Yayo:
“Yay keep saying he didn’t take that money outta my pocket. I’ma catch that n—a I’ma stick him.”
50 later returned with, “Yayo is a f—in trick. He’d buy a bitch whatever she asks for. These hoes just be too stupid to ask him. I aint lyin.” 50 Cent loves his crew.
On Lloyd Banks:
“Banks would f— any kind of girl. That boy don’t care. I saw him once with this lil bitch I said that bitch is a midget! He said stop hatin.”
And the love of G-Unit continues. This tweet may have little people pretty mad at 50 Cent … and pretty intrigued by Lloyd Banks.
On DJ Whoo Kid:
“F— u @DJWhooKid! U always f— up when u DJ. I’d f— u up if u wasn’t Sha Money’s f—in cousin. F—in idiot lol.”
Go DJ! That’s my DJ! Maybe not. Whoo Kid took it as a joke, clearly, as he retweeted it and replied to 50 Cent, “@50cent LOL!!!! aww MAN !! LOL!!!” It’s good to have a sense of humor.
On Serena Williams:
“Serena looks like she would tear a n—a’s ass up. I be like pick me up take me to the bed baby!”
Does Common know about this?
On Busta Rhymes:
“And the Best Hip-Hop performance Award goes to Busta Rhymes http://twitpic.com/2m0ie5.”
50 repented for those last two tweets by adding, “Busta still has the best show in Hip-Hop. I’m not sh—in on him. And I ain’t dissing Serena either,” right before he bid Twitter farewell until the 13th. Looks like some people can squeeze a compliment out of 50 Cent.
