T.I. And Tiny Inspire Our Hip-Hip 'Bonnie And Clyde' List

Rapper T.I. has found himself ensnared more than once in the long arm of the law during his successful career.

On Wednesday night TIP and wife Tameka 'Tiny' Cottle were arrested for possession of a controlled substance after their Maybach was pulled over in Los Angeles for making an illegal turn.

Making matters worse, the Kang is still on federal probation stemming from last year's prison stint. This most recent arrest isn't exactly the promotional look Tip was looking for as he's hard at work on his King Uncaged album.

While this is the first time T.I. and Tiny have landed in legal trouble together, plenty of other hip-hop couples have had to battle criminal charges. Here's our list of 5 "Bonnie and Clydes" who did the crime (and sometimes paid the time) for their mischievous behavior.

Puffy and J. Lo

Hip-hop mogul Sean 'Diddy' Combs was dating bombshell J. Lo in 1998, and the couple were riding high until a fateful December night brought trouble to their highly publicized romance. The couple were partying it up at Club New York in Manhattan when gunfire broke out injuring multiple people. Puffy (as he was then called) was arrested alongside fellow rapper Shyne for felony gun possession and assault charges. Lopez found herself handcuffed as well, although never charged. In the end Puffy was found not guilty on all charges, but that wasn’t enough to save the relationship.

Nas and Kelis

These two have had their fair share of ups and downs. They met in 2002, married in 2005, and had filed for divorce and had a baby by 2009. Somewhere in between Kelis was put behind bars. The "Milkshake" singer was charged in 2007 with two misdemeanors for yelling racial slurs at undercover officers who were investigating a prostitution sting and had allegedly questioned men in the area, including her husband, Nas. Lucky for her though, Kelis was acquitted on all charges.

Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes and Andre Rison

One third of the R&B superstar group TLC, the late Lisa 'Left Eye' Lopes made headlines in 1994 when she set fire to a mansion shared with then-boyfriend Andre Rison. Their on-again, off-again relationship sparked rumors of domestic violence as Rison was arrested one year prior for hitting Left Eye in a grocery parking lot. Left Eye pleaded guilty to arson and was sentenced to a halfway house and five year's probation. She and Rison were scheduled to marry in 2005, but the wedding was called off.

Jay-Z and Beyonce

No list mentioning hip-hop Bonnie and Clydes can truly be complete without the pair who made a song about truly living it. In 2002, rapper Jay-Z and now-wife Beyonce made their first collaboration, "'03 Bonnie & Clyde." No, the two have never been caught in the back of a cop car (knock on wood), but they blazed the airwaves with their Billboard Hot 100 hit. "All I need in this life of sin is me and my girlfriend," Hov sings on the track, and I'm sure right about now, TIP and Tiny are feeling those same sentiments. We know you've got his back through it all, Tiny.

Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston

Where to begin with these two. R&B's Bad Boy married R&B's Princess in 1992, and the two stayed on a roller-coaster ride of turmoil for 14 years. From jail sentences, reality shows, alleged abuse to rehab stints, you name it, these two went through it. Many claim Bobby and Whitney are the original Bonnie and Clyde, with artists such as Hov shouting them out in his tribute to the famed couple ('She rides with me - the new Bobby and Whitney'). Now separated and divorced, Bobby recently became a dad again and is engaged to his longtime girlfriend. Whitney herself is coming off a worldwide tour for her comeback album, I Look To You. Looks like these two may be better off without each other.?
