Capcom’s PS4 Dungeon Crawler ‘Deep Down’ Will Be Free to Play

The PS4-exclusive “Deep Down” gets stranger and stranger. Capcom first debuted the enigmatic RPG at February’s PS4 unveiling, later revealing that the “Dark Souls” competitor was set, in part, in 2094 New York. Now we’ve learned that “Deep Down” will also be “Free to Play” when it comes to the PS4.

The visually-impressive F2P RPG will also be getting a beta around the time of the Japanese release of the PS4 in February 2014.

Based on Capcom’s new Panta Rhei engine, “Deep Down” uses procedurally-generated dungeons which puts players in the role of a character who comes into contact with magical artifacts strew throughout post-apocalyptic 2094 New York which transports them back to a dark fantasy past.
