When a HD remake of "SoulCalibur 2" was first announced, which to many is the best version of the game, many people got super excited. Until it was revealed that it was for just the PS3 and Xbox 360, and would include just the special guest from the PS2 version, Heihachi from "Tekken".
Even when word came that the original Xbox version's unique fighter, Spawn, would also be included, said disgruntled fans did not change their tune. Why? Because still no Link, from the GameCube edition, which is what everyone liked the most.
Well, as it turns out, there's a slight chance of Link making an appearance after-all. Provided he's included in the Wii U version of the game, but only if that one ends up happening in the first place.
Games Radar reports that Namco Bandai is open to the idea if there's a demand for such a thing. And what does that mean exactly? If the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of "SoulCalibur 2 HD Online" sells well, for starters.
Which would be kind of odd; people who really want a Wii U version of a game, buying another edition, for another system first. Or everyone could simply spam the producer's Twitter account.
And, who knows, maybe the Wii U version could have Link, Heihachi, and Spawn, like so many have dreamt of for ten years now?
