So yeah, there's this place that smells like blood, a spectral lady, and a bunch of dead cops--you know what, I'll let the latest trailer for "The Evil Within" sell itself.
The trailer shows off some of the gameplay footage for the Bethesda-published survival horror game developed by Tango Gameworks, and the brainchild of "Resident Evil" creator Shinji Mikami. And it brings together some of those signature elements "RE" was famous for including an isolated setting, law enforcement officers in trouble, and a healthy helping of gore.
The rough story details sketched out by the trailer seem to indicate that while responding to an incident an institution, something wicked comes for our unnamed lead, who will find himself trapped (and presumably forced to solve the occasional puzzle if we wants to escape).
"The Evil Within" will be available on the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and PC sometime in 2014.
