inXile, the developer behind the crowd-funded sequel, "Wasteland 2," certainly aren't shy about showing their work on the post-apocalyptic RPG. Back in February, the studio released approximately 20 minutes of gameplay footage from the first level of "Wasteland 2" and today, they're going a little deeper into the campaign with a look at the Prison.

The Prison is the 4th or 5th area in the game depending on how you approach it. Wasteland 2 is an open game so potentially, you could travel straight to it if you want a real challenge... but it probably won’t go so well.

That's from the inXile team who say that this level wasn't built for demoing and represents actual gameplay. The content here shows about a third of the area, according to team lead Chris Keenan. In the game's fiction, the Prison is now the home of the Red Scorpion Militia, a faction in the game who've taken over the space after the Rangers abandoned it some years ago.

You'll also get a look at the game's progression system as well as the dialog system which allows for both long-term and short-term responses from NPCs.

"Wasteland 2," originally planned for an October release (but since pushed back), is being developed for the PC, Mac, and Linux.
