Gamescom Trailer Compares 'Final Fantasy X' and 'X2' Against PS3 'HD Remaster'

The new trailer for "Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster" reveals the improved visuals and rearranged music of the PS3 HD remake.

The differences are pretty striking, starting off with the fuller, richer audio in the HD Remaster which doesn't seem to change the original so much as add more detail.

The visual upgrade--while not exactly in the running with "Final Fantasy XIII" in terms of graphical prowess--offers some real improvements on an RPG released over a decade ago. Textures are improved as are the lighting effects although the UI looks bland and placeholder now that it's occupying such a large part of the screen.

"Final Fantasy X | X-2 HD Remaster" will be out later this year for the PS3.
