The PAX Prime 2013 Schedule Is Now Live

If you're one of the lucky few that were able to snag tickets to this year's Penny Arcade Expo before they vanished in an instant, per usual, it's finally time to make a plan of attack. Because the full schedule for PAX Prime 2013 has just been published.

As expected, there's a lot to process, though more so this year than ever before, thanks to the show being expanded to four days. Here are just a few highlights that one might want to consider...

Friday morning at kicks off with Story time with Peter Molyneux. According to the schedule:

"Well known for his work on Black and White, Dungeon Keeper, Populous, and many other series we welcome Peter Molyneux as he delivers the opening story time for PAX Prime 2013!"

Later that afternoon, between 2:00PM - 3:00PM, is Pitching The Last of Us. Naughty Dog Creative Director Neil Druckmann and Game Director Bruce Straley will be on-hand to detail how they were able to sell the idea of the game to their colleagues and Sony as well:

"Neil and Bruce will pull back the curtain to show you their original pitch for The Last of Us… and giving everyone at this panel a look at how close or far the final game ended up from the original pitch."

And later that evening, between 8:00PM - 9:00PM, you have Arabian Fights: Super Nintendo vs Sega Genesis. The title alone tells you everything you need to know, but for those who seek clarification:

"Disney’s Aladdin isnt just an incredible film, but a defining moment in the great 16-bit wars as well. Hop a carpet and fly over to witness two teams of gaming aficionados debate to death the merits of the Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis versions of this Walt Disney masterpiece."

Moving onto Saturday, between 10:30AM - 11:30AM, you have something that's guaranteed to be standing room only: Everything We Know Is Sexist. Now What? Again, the title alone should suffice, but here's a bit of the description anyway:

"As demand increases for characters as diverse as the new player base, the games industry struggles to catch up. Writers and designers feel pressured to craft fresh, compelling stories that speak to a wider audience, but are often challenged by personal blind spots, professional culture, and business demands."

Later afternoon, why not spend an hour with the creator of Mega Man himself, via Keiji Inafune: From 8-bit to Next-Gen, and Beyond? Taking places between 4:30PM - 5:30PM, $20 says the very first question is about Mega Man Legends 3.

Day three has something called Nerdcore Hip Hop? Wasn’t There A Documentary On Netflix About That? Once more, the name says it all, so let's just leave it at that, though it happens 5:30PM - 6:30PM for those interested.

And if you're an indie game maker, then there's no better place to be on Monday, between 3:00PM - 4:00PM, than +10 Publicity: Marketing and Promoting Your Indie Game.
