Nintendo Announces ‘Extremely Rare’ Pokémon Promotion At GameStop

Hey, want some hard-to-find Pokémon for “Pokémon Black,” “White,” Black 2,” and “White 2?” Between August and October, Nintendo’s teaming up with GameStop to give you some hard-to-find rarities in three in-store distribution events.

It’s a collection of shiny variations of existing Pokémon, including Dialga, Palkia, and Girantina. Each is a Legendary Pokémon, introduced in previous games, and they’re available when you bring your 3DS/DS in with one of the “Pokémon Black/White” games for the free download. Nintendo says that if you want to get these shiny monsters, you’ll need to have the Pokédex in your game and no more than 11 Wonder Cards in your possession.

Here are the dates and the creatures you’ll be able to pick up:

Shiny Dialga: Monday, August 19th, 2013–Sunday, September 8th, 2013

Shiny Palkia: Monday, September 9th, 2013–Sunday, September 29th, 2013

Shiny Giratina: Monday, September 30th, 2013–Sunday, October 20th, 2013
