‘Scribblenauts Unmasked’ Will Pay Tribute To The DC Multiverse

When “Scribblenauts Unmasked” arrives later this fall, you’ll be able to conjure up Superman, that’s not even open for debate. After all, we all know that it’ll feature the super heroes and super villains from the pages of DC Comics.

The real question is WHICH Superman you’ll be able to conjure up.

In addition to announcing the game’s release date (Sept. 24, 2013, fyi), Warner Bros. and 5th Cell has revealed that “Scribblenauts Unmasked” will take a dip into the Multiverse waters. One end result will be the presence of 14 different variations of the Man of Steel to conjure up. Including Kingdom Come Superman, Red Son Superman, Speeding Bullets Superman, and Classic Superman.

One has to wonder if they’re referring to fan favorite Earth 2 Superman, or its some other variant.

The developers have made it loud in clear in various interviews that they wish to features as many DC Comics personalities as possible. Around 2,500 last we heard. Apparently a percentage of that number might cover all the different variations of certain characters that have spawned over the close to 80 years the comics publisher has been in business.

This is obviously awesome news for diehard DC Comics fans. Hopefully we’ll get different variations of the Caped Crusader as well. Including the Dark Knight Returns Batman, Gotham By Gaslight Batman, Kingdom Come Batman, and Red Son Batman (aka Batmankoff, who might the coolest version of them all, which is saying a lot).

Again, Scribblenauts Unmasked arrives on September 24th for the Wii U, Nintendo 3DS and PC.
