The 1960's prequel to the clandestined XCOM series will get some post launch DLC that will expand beyond the top secret origin story involving Agent Carter.
Nothing specific has been dedtailed but supposedly it'll have a strong narrative drive. Of course Xbox 360 users will have early access but the DLC will hit all platforms eventually.
From the release:
“The alternate 1962 universe that we’ve created for The Bureau is vast and there are many more stories to tell about the early days of XCOM,” said Morgan Gray, development director at 2K Marin. “We’re excited that our stories will provide a new perspective on the war effort, much like how our critically acclaimed Minvera’s Den DLC for BioShock 2 allowed us to present a unique perspective of Rapture.”
Hopefully, this means that the DLC will focus more on the intense squad dynamics and desperate struggle for Earth rather than a basic "horde-mode" arena.
Additonally pre-orders will grant a bonus campaign side-mission called “Codebreakers" -- which will have Agent Carter investigating and decoding alien transmission to help turn the tide of the war.
"The Bureau: XCOM Declassified" will be available on August 20, 2013 for PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
