"Final Fantasy XIII" heroine Lightning may only have XIII days to save Nova Crystalis, but we've got over have a year until we can play the open world "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII," according to an announcement from Square Enix accompanying the game's E3 trailer.
The new trailer hints at some of the story details of the time-based RPG which sees Lightning racing across the game's new setting to prevent an impending apocalypse while solving the occasional mystery. Along with fleeting glimpses of what's likely the game's villain (Tortured? Silver hair? Check and check.), "Final Fantasy XIII" ally Snow also makes an appearance here, ready to mix it up with the game's would-be savior (because why not).
As for when you'll be able to play "Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII," Square Enix has dated the game for February 11, 2014 for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
