"Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic" is considered by many to be the greatest Star Wars game ever made. Now, ten years after its initial release on PC and Microsoft's original Xbox, the beloved RPG is bringing the lightsaber wielding action to iPad.
For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of experiencing KOTOR, the game is set four thousand years before the formation of the Galactic Empire and the arrival of Darth Vader. Hundreds of Jedi Knights have fallen at the hands of the Sith and players begin the game as the last hope for the Jedi Order. Sounds fun, right? It is.
I myself have not had the pleasure of playing the game on in its new tablet form, but a review sneakily posted on IGN this morning was pretty favorable. Though there are bound to be some issues with touchscreen controls, but the review notes that the games new touch interface has made navigating menus and sorting equipment a bit easier.
While there's no denying KOTOR is a title worth checking out iPad, the price tag attached to the download may turn some potential buyers away. At $9.99 it's one of the more expensive iPad games out there. Either way, you can check it out in the App Store right now.
