Anime Heroines Unite! Namco Bandai Developing SRPG 'Super Heroine Chronicles' For Vita, PS3

Siliconera pointed to the super anime/manga crossover, which will bring together heroines from ten series in a strategy RPG for the PS3 and Vita.

According to the post, "Super Heroine Chronicle" will be a traditional grid-based game, and its heroines will be capable of attacking enemies in adjacent squares while also doling out damage to the environment.

A roster of unannounced characters from the following series would be included in the likely cel-shaded game:

Twin Angel

Di Gi Charat

Swan Song of the Valkyries: Symphogear

Super Sonico

Higurashi When They Cry

Aria the Scarlet Ammo

Infinite Stratos

The Familiar of Zero

Dream Hunter Rem

With the exception of "When they Cry," I'm not all that familiar with the other series being used for "Super Heroine Chronicle," but I'm sure each has its own disturbingly rabid fanbase. Huh. The "Alice in Wonderland" riff "Kyousogiga" sounds look a hoot, though.

It's the latest crossover project for Namco Bandai following their collaboration with SEGA and Capcom for "Project X Zone" as well as "Street Fighter X Tekken." Speaking of which, what's happening with "Tekken X Street Fighter?"

No word on the Japanese release date for "Super Heroine Chronicle," much less whether this game will ever see the light of day here in the States.
