'Rayman Legends' Headed To PS Vita

Ubisoft today confirmed that "Rayman Legends" will be coming to the PlayStation Vita. The game, which was originally planned as a Wii U exclusive, will release for Sony's handheld alongside the console versions in early September.

What separates the PS Vita version from the others are five exclusive maps, where players will take control of Murphy using the Vita's rear touch pad. A multiplayer mode is also accessible and players from the same country can play in co-op. Online challenges also make an appearance, letting players compare rankings in the online leaderboards.

If five Vita-exclusive maps weren't enough for you, Ubisoft is also throwing in two exclusive character costumes. Rayman gets a Prince of Persia costume, while the mighty Globox gets stealthy in some hi-tech apparel inspired by the Splinter Cell series.

"Rayman Legends" will be available on the PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PS Vita on September 3rd.
