Sony Santa Monica's Vincent Napoli recently took to the PlayStation Blog to let everyone know that an update for "God of War: Ascension" will increase the game's multiplayer level cap, address audio issues, and optimize matchmaking sometime this month.
The biggest enhancement in the 1.04 update will be an increased level cap. Players will now be to move up from level 30 to level 40. To coincide with this, Sony is introducing a new item, two new relics, and an ultimate magic for each god allegiance. More info on these "Elite Levels" and the new abilities will apparently be revealed leading up to the update's release.
The update will also allow players to access their accomplishments (kill/death ratios, win percentages, etc.) from the main menu, and address some bugs, such as audio drop issues, which are a "critical fix" in this update.
Sony says players should see a "marked improvement" in matchmaking on a daily basis. "Our work in addressing this and getting players into matches as quick as possible is non-stop. We have already made numerous improvements," the developer said.
To wrap things up, Sony teased that they are "on the cusp" of releasing the first "God of War: Ascension" DLC pack, though specific details were not revealed. "We've got some brutal new toys coming to assist you on the battlefield," the developer said.
