Flixster App Brings UltraViolet And More To Xbox 360

Flixster, one of the most popular movie apps around, today announced a new app for Xbox 360. Available now to Xbox Live subscribers, the app brings Rotten Tomatoes information, trailers and UltraViolet collections directly to the TV.

In addition to trailers and reviews from Rotten Tomatoes, Xbox 360’s new Flixster app will also let users buy and rent movies through UltraViolet. On top of that, you can scope out local movie theater listings and showtimes, and browse new and upcoming DVD/Blu-ray releases.

“The mission of UltraViolet is to allow consumers to enjoy their content on any device and platform they desire,” said Flixster co-founder and president Joe Greenstein. “Launching Flixster on Xbox is an exciting step forward for us as it’s one of the most popular platforms for consumers to enjoy entertainment in their living room.”

I think Flixster could be great to have on Xbox 360, and simpler access to those UltraViolet digital copies I never seem to watch will be a nice bonus. What are your thoughts?
