The trailer for the next numbered sequel (that's somehow tied to "Ground Zeroes") shows off the new FOX Engine and hospital-based stealth action.
Fire, pain, and doom are what this first trailer for "Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" is selling. Previously teased as the enigmatic "The Phantom Pain" by Kojima Productions, the "Guns of the Patriots" followup (presumably) involves Big Boss suffering some kind of intense physical trauma that leaves him minus one arm and out of commission for nine years. Throughout, visions of supernatural, almost Revelations-sized bosses seem to assault the one-eyed stealth agent, but what does it all mean?
Peppered with scenes from last year's "Ground Zeroes" trailer, which will serve as a prologue to "The Phantom Pain," according to Konami, the game takes up after the fall of Mother Base, but instead of some grand, global action story, it appears that this one will be more intimate and centered on what I'm guessing is Boss's unreliable POV.
"Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain" will be released on the Xbox 360 and PS3.
