New 'GTA V' Screens Confirm It Will Have Weather, Big Ol' Guns

This morning Rockstar released a new batch of screens for September's "Grand Theft Auto V" giving us a look at some of the weather, environments--and in one screen--combat of what we're going to presume is a sprawling criminal misadventure in the underbelly of Southern California.

With Sony getting their PS4 kits out to developers as far as (if I recall) four years ago, I wonder what kind of conversation went on in Rockstar HQ about making their next title part of the next gen (and that's presuming they were extended the courtesy of getting their hands on the new hardware). These screens definitely look great (as far as being expertly staged, color corrected, etc., but still) and you have to wonder what "GTA V" on the PS4 or next generation Xbox would look like.

You can look forward to doing extensive screenshot to actual gameplay comparisons when "GTA V" arrives on the Xbox 360 and PS3 on September 17.
