Crackle Now Integrated Into The PlayStation Store

The Crackle app on PlayStation 3 has been offering up free TV and movies for quite some time, but Sony today revealed a brand new way to watch, with Crackle now fully integrated into the PlayStation Store.

Up until now Crackle was a standalone app, forcing PlayStation 3 users to navigate the free content selection separately from other TV and movies available through the PlayStation Store. Today, all of that has changed. Rather than loading up the Crackle app, PlayStation 3 users can scroll down to the TV or movies section of the PlayStation Store and easily continue on to the Crackle section. Just as they did in the app, users will find a large selection of free, ad-supported television series and movies.

The new Crackle integration won't necessarily deliver any content that wasn't available before, but there's no denying it could do a lot for content discovery on Sony's home console.

What do you think? Should more app content be tied directly into the PlayStation Store?
