Wii U Basic Set Gets A $50 Discount At Best Buy

Looking to get your hands on a discounted Wii U? If so, Best Buy might be the place to go. As part of their Spring Doorbuster promotion, the big box electronics retailer is offering the Nintendo Wii U Basic Set at a $50 discount until April 1st.

Nintendo’s console has been pretty slow to move off the shelves, and Best Buy may be looking for a way to clear out some the less-desirable basic sets. It’s a bit of a let down for Nintendo, but it’s great for anyone looking to grab Nintendo’s latest console.

The $50 discount leaves the white colored Wii U console with a price tag just shy of the $250 mark. Sure, you’ll be missing out the charging cradle, digital deluxe promotion and that copy of Nintendo Land that comes packed-in with the Wii U Deluxe Set, but the eShop has been introducing some decent deals on downloadable games that might make up for it.
