The New 'Dead Island: Riptide' Trailer Shows How It All Goes Wrong (Again)

Murphy's (Living Dead) Law: If it can go wrong, it will go wrong--with zombies. That's the moral of developer Techland's new trailer from "Dead Island: Riptide" which introduces us to new character John Morgan and the unfortunate (and predictable) way that the zombie plague will catch up to the first game's survivors.

The new game sees the survivors of 2011's "Dead Island" rescued only to get cast away on another island populated by the flesh-eating dead. The trailer hints at some kind of conspiracy that's likely responsible for the zombie outbreak with ex-soldier John Morgan joining the survival effort as forces unknown try to sanitize the cause of the plague.

The trailer also offers a clip of some gameplay from the unnumbered sequel. Zombie decapitations: confirmed.

"Dead Island: Riptide" will be available on April 23 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
